Terms of Service

Last updated August 17, 2026. These terms form an agreement between you and SneakWrite and govern your use of the SneakWrite website, workspace, and related services.

1. Eligibility and account security

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live, to use SneakWrite. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf.

You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Keep your password confidential, use the available security features, and tell us promptly at support@sneakwrite.net if you suspect unauthorised access.

2. What the service does

SneakWrite refines written text for clarity, tone, flow, and readability, and provides an AI-detection estimate for text you submit. Features, models, limits, and interfaces may change as the product develops.

3. Acceptable and prohibited use

Use the service to improve writing you have the right to edit. Do not submit unlawful, harmful, harassing, deceptive, or infringing content; do not attempt to disrupt, probe, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service; do not scrape the service, resell or sublicense access, share accounts, or circumvent usage limits or security controls.

Do not use SneakWrite to misrepresent authorship where doing so breaches the rules of an institution, employer, publisher, or platform. You are responsible for complying with those rules.

4. Your content and the licence you grant us

You keep all rights in the text you submit and, as between you and SneakWrite, in the output you receive. You confirm you hold the necessary rights to the text you provide.

You grant SneakWrite a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transmit, and process your content solely to operate and support the service you requested — including through the subprocessors described in our Privacy Policy. This licence ends when the content is deleted or scrubbed under our retention practices.

5. AI output and detection limitations

Output is generated automatically and may contain errors, omissions, or unintended changes in meaning. AI-detection scores are statistical estimates only; they are not proof of authorship and may differ from the results of any third-party detector. Always review output before you rely on or publish it. SneakWrite does not guarantee any particular result from any third-party AI detection system.

6. Plans, pricing, and billing

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions. The current customer-facing price and availability of each plan are controlled by SneakWrite Admin settings and shown on our pricing page. Prices are displayed in US dollars unless stated otherwise.

By completing checkout you authorise our payment provider to charge the amount shown for the selected plan now and automatically on each monthly renewal date until you cancel. Your paid access activates after the first payment is confirmed.

7. Automatic renewal, cancellation, and failed payments

Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can manage your payment method or cancel future renewal from the billing controls on your Account page. Cancellation stops future charges; where applicable, access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

A subscription starts at the price confirmed during checkout. We do not silently move an existing subscription to a newly edited catalogue price. A new subscription or plan change uses the then-current Admin-set price shown before payment. If a renewal payment fails, a new paid period is not granted and access may expire or be suspended when the already-paid period ends.

8. Refunds

Because access is delivered immediately, payments are generally non-refundable once a plan is activated. If you were charged in error, were charged more than once, or could not access a plan you paid for, contact support@sneakwrite.net and we will review your case in good faith. Nothing here limits refund rights you have under mandatory local law.

9. Taxes, currency, and provider charges

You are responsible for any taxes, duties, currency-conversion differences, cross-border fees, or bank and card charges applied by your payment method or by our payment provider. SneakWrite displays plan prices in US dollars. Where Paystack must process the payment in a local settlement currency, its checkout will show the corresponding processor amount for the subscription.

10. Plan limits and fair use

Each plan includes stated allowances, such as the number of checks, words per request, and available refinement modes. We apply rate limits and abuse protections to keep the service available for everyone, and we may adjust limits where usage is automated, shared across users, or otherwise inconsistent with normal individual use.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if your use creates legal or security risk, or if required by law or a provider. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to fix the issue. You may delete your account at any time from the account page.

12. Effects of termination or account deletion

When you request account deletion, SneakWrite first attempts to stop any renewable Paystack subscription so the deleted account cannot continue generating future charges. If automatic billing cannot be stopped safely, account deletion is blocked and you should manage the subscription or contact support. After deletion, your profile, usage records, preferences, and security records are removed, any remaining plan entitlement ends except where required by law, and financial transaction records are retained and detached from your account for bookkeeping and legal obligations as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Intellectual property

SneakWrite, its software, design, and brand assets remain our property or that of our licensors. These terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer any ownership to you.

14. Third-party services

The service relies on third parties for authentication, hosting, database, payments, email, and AI or automation processing. Those providers operate under their own terms, and their availability can affect ours. Our Privacy Policy describes what information they receive.

15. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how long submitted text is stored, and how it is scrubbed. By using SneakWrite you agree to the practices described there.

16. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep SneakWrite available and reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, provider incidents, or changes to features, models, and limits may temporarily or permanently affect the service.

17. Disclaimers

Except where the law does not allow it, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or academic, professional, or editorial acceptance of any output.

18. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SneakWrite is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, reputation, grades, or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

19. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify SneakWrite against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from content you submit, your breach of these terms, or your unlawful or infringing use of the service. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own wrongdoing.

20. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any consumer rights or statutory guarantees that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you. Where a provision conflicts with such a right, that right prevails and the rest of these terms continue to apply.

21. Disputes and applicable law

Please contact us first at support@sneakwrite.net so we can try to resolve any issue informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it will be governed by the mandatory laws that apply to you as a consumer, and may be brought before the courts competent for your place of residence. We do not require you to litigate in a foreign forum.

22. Changes to these terms and contact

We may update these terms as the service evolves and will publish the revised version with a new last-updated date. Continued use after an update means you accept it. Questions: support@sneakwrite.net.
